I don't know how this is for you, but I tend to think a lot. And sometimes I worry about small things I shouldn't really worry at all.
This lady woke me up early today.
Last week I modeled and cooked a few little polymer clay pieces. So when I walked into my studio today I decided what to do.
To keep Miss Worries out of my mind, I decided to lock her in this tiny painting.
This is the size of the painting:
Being in my studio, with the morning light and music is the best way to spend a Sunday.
Painting my worries helped me not being worried any more!

To celebrate
It is only January 2nd, but still does not feel very 2014, no?
2013 was a great year, I can just be grateful.
It is important to take a minute to celebrate! It helps us realise all the good moments lived, all the people around us, the achievements we had... although there may have been difficult times also, it is always important to celebrate what made us happy.
You are part of my year: Thank you. We have been sharing moments from 2011 (viewing entries, I realised it was not 2012 as I first thought... time flies!).
Although we may not be aware that through this channel, inspirations, hopes and moments are shared ... I know you are there and you know that I share all this with love.
Thank you!
Some moments of 2013, it is always good to treasure them:

Hope for a kiss
We are re-decorating our room, or to be completely honest, decorating it properly for the very first time.
All this decorating revolution made me think on what paintings I want to besurrounded by in my bedroom. What ideas, feelings, sensations I want have with me when I go to bed and when I start my day, also.
This is how I decide to paint "The face" and now... "Hope for a kiss".
Because bedrooms must be full of kisses!!!

Sunday is a good day to be painting...
Sunday at home is a family day, a day to rest, to share and also to paint!
For me is a total pleasure to be in my studio painting, with my kids coming to chat... all this while my hubby prepares something amazing in the grill.
A perfect Sunday for me.
How is your wished Sunday like?
Te deseo una hermosa semana!

The face
I have been thinking how important expressions are for our communication ... how much we say without saying anything.
This is how I decided to show it, with "The face (la mueca)". Probably this little painting will be followed by other / s ...
Is incredible how our face changes according to our thoughts, right?

Changes
I have been thinking lately what has to change for something to change. Sometimes we need a situation, a relationship or something else to be different, better, because not everything is as we want it to be.
I keep thinking about this ... but I think is one that has to do something different, make other decisions, change an attitude ... finally, start doing something different from the way was being.
at home something changed already... one of the walls with my paintings.
Well sometimes is time for me to think! :)
Have a wonderful week!!!

Wait like kids do
Kids wait is different... while they wait: they dream, they imagine, project, share.
How good would be to have this poss ibility again!
Let me introduce you know to "Serene waiting":
For now, the painting is in the kitchen. But who knows... at home paintings move all the time...

Painting the wait
Perhaps you remember this paint from the first days of the year, when it was a project only.
And now, I started painting it. Would you like to see how it goes?
I hope you have a wonderful week!!!

Two right hands
This is my new painting. It is called "Two right hands".
I love to just do nothing, it so healthy!... watch the leaves of the trees dancing with the wind, follow the clouds as they pass by... not thinking. But I don't rest enough, and of course, just to stop and rest a bit is a challenge for me.
I try hard to do nothing... but suddenly I see something or think on something and start doing something.
So this painting represents the need to stop... but as you can see the other right hand doesn't want to stop. And is always trying to interfere in the need to stop.
For me this painting will be a reminder.
It is a small painting... but the act of painting it will make my life much more pleasant if I just watch it!
"I'm a little cork that has fallen into water and is washed away. I surrender to the paint as it comes. "
Pierre-Auguste Renoir

Work in progress
This painting I am working in, is tiny in size but a great dreamer.
Still needs quite a lot of work. At this point of the process, almost everything can change! especially when I don't finish it on the same day and to face it again, later.
In painting, everything is reflected and perhaps when I return to it, the mood is not the same, or the idea that led me to paint it, continued to evolve in my head ... until I finish the painting.
For now I can show this piece.
Uncompleted paintings are shy, and this is far from complete. The photo is a little out of focus, on purpose ;)

Happy new year!
Happy new year! 2013 is already here!
Every year leaves us with lots of moments we treasure: smells, colours, images, experience and feelings.
2012 was a year full of moments for me: some of them I liked, some I loved and also some of them I would preferred not to have. Through all that moments, my art was a way to live and express myself.
Lets treasure those moments and celebrate! I couldn´t find a better way than sharing with you a collage of some of the things I've done in 2012.
By doing this collage I found that painting was one of the ways I most used... I guess that I had a lot to express! :)
Every beginning makes me feel energised! and the best way for me to start 2013 was with two projects. Of course, at the same time.
A bedside table that is almost ready (poor thing, it has been waiting in my studio for more than a year for a proper makeover) and a painting (still only the sketch).
Later this week I will share more photos of the bedside table. For now, only a preview.
A bonus: these beautiful summer flowers are now near my studio entrance.

Curls in my hear
Yes, I do have curls ... but in this case I am talking (painting really) about my other curls.
This is about those times when I complicate myself, or how we say here: all my the birds have flown away. We can not always take away ideas from the head, but also sometimes over-complicate things
Art has a wonderful effect on my ... It helps me straight my "curls", for example.
In process ...

"What little art"
I am choosing the photos for the post, and my little son (he is 7) says: "What little art".
This is another mini-painting to wear. It is a brooch. I made the piece in polymer clay and painted my little princess with acrylics.
As you can see the painting has relief... so it is really difficult to photograph. The pictures do no do real justice to it. I tried several times, and decided to share the best ones.
While not in use, I will place it in a little black box, as a frame.
It is really little. The painting itself is 5cm tall, and the complete brooch 6.5cm.
I decided to paint a princess... because we always like to feel like one and be treated that way, right?
