Summer colors

This side of the world is going through a very hot summer...

We are almost all day out in the garden... surrounded by colours...

all these colours made some effects because they are also in our food...

And also they ended up in my nails!!!

For those of you who are in winter time now, I hope you can feel a little warmer now!

One of those days

Cloudy...

Everybody is resting or just relaxing around the house

And you know... If you remember my painting, you know me. I love to just do nothing, but there are days that I just can't!  In my garden the spring/summer bulbs are reaching their last days and they don't look so pretty anymore. So, its time for them  -some of them at least- to be removed and saved for the next autumn...

Well... I may take a nap now and dream with next summer's flowers.

Two little creatures with a lot to give

These days two little creatures surprised me at home.

I was working with my cactus, doing a little gardening and on this little piece of wood

A little snail appeared.

can you see it? isn't it wonderful> so little that it was really difficult to photograph. Little but perfect. Black and really really fast.

Also a little cactus decided it was its time to be noticed. And appeared with this.

and this afternoon... surprise!

 OMG! Such a little cactus has this power inside! A HUGE flower for this little one.

 Good for you!

We don't have to go far from home to find wonderful nature treasures.

The patient side table

This is the story of a patient bedside table... It belonged to my aunt Porota and since it came to me has been waiting for a makeover in my studio. But the wait is over!

For 10 years we didn't have proper bedside tables, or at least as we wished them to be: as soon as we were married (and for a few years) we had two boxes, then two very economic light tables that I barely painted, for them not to look so basic and now... finally ... two night tables as want them to be.

The colours is not so usual... you are right. But the entire room makes everything harmonise ... or so we think with my husband and we are happy!
I painted with latex in two colors (Cranberry and Ciboulette from Colorin) and waxed it.

No, not my authorship. It must be the work of a skilled anonymous craftsman from distant latitudes.

And this is its partner. I painted it before.

Guess which is mine and which my husband's...

Summer is here! Almost....

At least on this side of the world!
Well now is raining, but.... summer at home means...
