Mending walls

Last weekend we were at the barbecue place and I found a stained wall ... hmm ...

as it was one of those spots that don't go easy, I appealed to my acrylic ink ....

why not painting another one, right?

It took me only five minutes ... and the family was happy with the change.
While on the grill .... this was happening!

Don't be afraid to paint a wall. The worst that can happen is you have to give it a coat of paint!

The orchid from the tree near my atellier

I made a new plant from another that is growing a lot. I put it in the tree outside my art studio. And now (after a month only) it has flowers!

The original plant

Another plant in the other tree... still growing!

Have I told you that I love you?

At home we say "I love you" quite often. It is good for the soul, it makes us happy and helps feeling "complete".
But of course, routine tempts us to focus more on facts than feelings. From this thought is where this stamp came from.
This is dedicate to my love, my husband:

There are so many possibilities: for example, I'll be using it to print wrapping paper.

With autumn just around the corner

This side of the planet is preparing for autumn. Today I was walking around the garden, just looking everything... and I noticed a few plants that are already preparing themselves for the incoming autumn.
I felt a little nostalgy, I enjoy outdoor living a lot.

In winter, we tend to stay indoors, right? I must confess that a few sunny mornings and afternoons I took a blanket and went outside for some quality reading.

And you? what season do you prefer? My preference: spring, no doubts.

I guess I am not prepared still to see my garden looking a little bit grey and empty.
But that is what autumn is for, right? it is a transition, a time to rest.

Little bench/table Fridita

The little table/bench Fridita from the series "dejarse habitar" or "let live into you" in English (like my studio chair and this canvas) is ready!!!!
I really enjoyed all the process of doing it... It transmits lot of joy to me, with all its colors, phrases and drawings!
It can be used both as a bench or a little side table.

It is made of pine wood, painted with acrylics, acrylic ink, protected with wax and also decorated with ribbons.
It is: 35cm long, 35cm wide and 25cm tall.

There are two more to come: Bench Frida (like this but larger) and another one with a different shape.

Double project: little chair and a painted stone

These days I have been busy painting this little chair. This is a peek of what is coming next.
This new project is part of the series of works called "dejarse habitar" or "let live into you", like the chair of my art studio.
Is very important for me to be able to reflect through my art what I feel and think. I already told you how much I love to be surrounded by phrases.  Phases are so good to make a stop in daily routine and  think what we want, what we want to do or just laugh.
This is how is looking so far:

I'm still working on it!.

Meanwhile, I made a short stop to paint a stone with a phrase. "Enjoy life now, this is not a rehearsal".

Have a nice week and enjoy!

My short pass through pottery

I love potterySome time ago I went to study with a teacher for a couple of months, but being a mother of young children, I concluded that everything is not possible... my passion would need to wait ...

Making something with your own hands from a piece of clay, out of nothing, and then put it to use, is wonderful.

In that short time I did some things, was just beginning, but I am very happy with my pieces.

All of them are in use: one with detergent and sponges, a soap, a comb holder, a small salad bowl and a bowl....

Also, some images from the weekend
