Cuernavaca's Cathedral

Every time I travel (specially for work) I try to save one or two days to walk around and visit some places. Sometimes this is possible.
This was the case with my last trip to Mexico.
I got the chance to go to Cuernavaca and Taxco.
Would you like to see Cuernavaca? There we go. Cuernavaca's Cathedral is a former monastery and the colonial style is very present. Is only of the oldest in Mexico and was built around 1500.

Modern Art Museum @ Mexico DF

Hey I am back! Sorry I have not being around... but this second half of the year came with lot of travels. I have been for work in New York and Mexico.
Today I would like to share some of the pictures I took in this last trip to Mex.
There is a lot to share (I haven't still shared all I the pictures I wanted from France, but we will have time).

Let's start today with some pictures of the lovely, artful, colourful Mexico.
Today we will walk around the Modern Art Museum gardens in Mexico DF, in the middle of the Chapultepec Forest. The visit of the museum is very nice, but the gardens are my favourite.
Let's see some pictures.

What about your lifes? How have you been these days?
Hope you are fine and let's start a wonderful week.

Holiday self promises

Has happened to you returning from holiday full of self-promises??? like: I will start -again- going to the gym, I will read more books or I will find more time for myself ...

Well this time this didn't really happened to me... I only returned with small ideas in my head.

As recycling this lamp that I abandoned before. I had started recycling it a few years ago, but abandoned it because the results were very very ugly.

The screen was damaged and this lamp had no longer a place at home

This time when I restarted recycling it, I decided to keep it simple and just give over some joy with wire ... then followed the beads. Nothing pretentious, but I'm happy with the result. It now found its place.

A new little project with copper wire and beads:

And an updated version of my studio!

St Quen fly market

France is well known for its fly markets (or brocantes). People coming from many countries to by in this markets and the french people walking around is something that can not be missed.
The largest market in the world is in Paris. It is really a group of fly markets in one.

During the visit, we started feeling hungry. And we didn't find it, the restaurant found us. In a little corner we saw Chez Louisette. The less chic place in France, but an experience that we will remember for a long long time. Christmas decorations (I don't think they ever remove it) and a lady singing like Edith Piaff.
Defintely we wont remember the food but the french experience was fantastic!

Simple moments

For me the value is not on fancy and sophisticated occasions... The most meaningful moments are those that are simple and shared...

This weekend was full of those little simple moments...

The little gift bags I made for my daughter's birthday party.... some stamps and they are ready!

The first flowers I collected from the garden... before spring really arrives...

And the moment when my son, learned to ride his bike...
