Mini diptych

This is an `emotions´ diptych.
I wanted to capture that we do not always feel the same way, some days we're more connected with ourselves. 
And there are also not-so-connected days. These days words will not come out... and we believe that we will make it easier to express ourselves, but words don't find its way .... I recently had one of those days (obviously ended up with a headache). I find drawing very helpful these days.
And then there are days that you fill a little confused, distracted.
Days like these are not bad ones ... are ours.
They are the first step to reach those days when everything goes as we want!

Playing with my computer, I got this sort of fauvist version.

Acrylics on wood, 8cm tall x 7cm each side.

My studio today, recycled doors

Painting, I realized that I never showed you the door of my atellier.
We have recycled it (with my husband). It was painted with all the possible colors: blue, green, brown... it was quite a project, but I like how it looks now.

If I don't call myself an artist... who will?

All the doors and windows of the grill house were recycled by us.
Here is another sample... the other atellier door. This was really difficult, very old, with a lot of paint and one of the colors it had oil base. But it was worth it, a beautiful wood showed up!

Almost ready

The flute sleeve for my little princess is almost ready. At least embroidery. Now I have to finish the sleeve itself!

Today I was also painting, but today was a really humid day around here and I couldn't make much progress...

Iguazú Falls - My last trip

I had to share this beauty. I have spent the last week in Misiones, Argentina, and we were lucky enough to be able to visit the falls. One of the World Wonders.

  

 

Being there made me realize how small we are, right?

Saturday morning

Hey! I missed you! How was your week? Mine was really busy.
Today, after breakfast we started working together with my kids on a project. They were the best partners a mom can have!
I have a jean bag. But it needed something else, so I found a few things to make it look better, and then we decided to build this together.
We used beads, cooper, and our hands.

Out of blogging for a week

I'll be on a one week trip (a work trip), and I imagine I wont be able to blog.
Before leaving I wanted to share a few pictures of my garden and the contrasts of the autumn.

My art is helping to fill the house

With a lot of details... this is how some of the things you saw me doing are looking now.

Do you remember this one... it is now almost full of magazines (decoration, art, gardening, all my beloved magazines found their place)... I love how the turquoise looks with the color of the walls, right?
