Spring at home

Beautiful spring days, the light changed, and the garden looks beautiful.

This spring also brought my sister from Spain.

Tree

The tree by my studio's door is growing again. I thought it wont live. But here it is.
There is something on the dance between the wind and leaves that makes me relax.

I felt in love with carving, so I made a tree stamp.

It has a little area to write "I love you", "Miss you" or anything else.

And this photo, has nothing to do with the subject of the entry, but I wanted to share this new decoration for the studio door.

Last photos of Chicago

We all see different details when we travel.
This is what I saw!

My pictures make my husband, daughter and son ask: "what is this picture about?"!

Christmas is coming!

After many years I'm back! my hand still needs lots of practise, but it is good to be drawing again.

Oriental theatre

There were only few days, but I couldn't resist to go to the theater in Chicago.
The place was wonderful. Full of art!

A few days in Chicago

I'm in Chicago for a few days.
I went to an art store and I felt a kid in Disneyland! I bought some art staff that will be increasing the weight of my luggage!. I'll show you when I return home.
Here are some photos of Chicago, it's amazing architecture and the gardens.

The red chair

I have inherited it, with some other furniture from my great aunt Porota (I remember how much I adored her).
I have to paint one chair for each of my sons (daughter and son). He decided it should be red (he took the colour from his favourite football team),  I loved idea too.

Before

The process

My son help painting and I told him the story of the chair, and about my great aunt Porota and my great uncle Francisco.

After
The little owner, happy ("I love it mom!" and the mother, happy).

I used to decorate family cakes

There was a time, when my kids were small (more than now, at least), when I used to decorate the cakes for them.
Some of the photos are scanned from the printed photos...

Everyday sweet art!
I have not quit decorating cakes. But lately I've been buying them!
