Another furniture transformed

Nothing gets lost, everything is transformated.
We used to have this in my kids bedroom when they were babies. It used to have diapers, lots of them.
But they grew up and diapers are gone.
A little sand and wax and it is ready. My husband had the great idea of turning it down.
Now is hanging in my kitchen and keeps my tea pots collection.

I couldn´t resist and tried it...

I collect many things

Cans, cups, tea pots, little pencils and more. These are some of my favorite cups.
I take them with me when I travel or some friends that know how much I love them, give them to me. Many of them are hand made. Few not so much, but beatiful!

Changing roles

Some time ago we went to the same place were we found the turquoise library.
There we found this part of and all sewing machine.
It was perfect for a change I was willing to make in a little bathroom of the house... a little painting and some copper glitter and it is finished.

With this change already made, the old furniture we used to have, was ready to go... but after a second look, it showed some potential... So, after the transformation led by my handy husband (he took the sink and cut the extra wood), I changed the handles. A nice peace of marble and... it is done! Now is a nice peace of small furniture to keep things.

... aren't the books a must?

Mom ...I took some photos for your blog

Wonderful, right? While I was working in her future bed, my daughter was taking pictures, to give me a surprise. Looking around the studio, she took some lovely photos. She was so excited and proud, that how could I resist...

Just a clue... this is the bed in progress....

Surrounded

Something is telling me I have more ideas than time!... I have lots of plans and ideas for acrylic paintings, watercolours, and more.
On the other side, all these furniture have been waiting for they turn to come... it is spring now and the weather is inviting to stay outside. We took them out and wash them, now they are everywhere! these are some of them!.
Thinking on which one goes first, my daughter asked about her bed. It is in my studio now and the transformation already started.
This time I will take pictures to show you the process step by step.

Bedside lamp

Mi grandma, China, knew my love for things with stories. She gave me two bedside lamps.
But unfortunately one of them suffered from a coordination error and the glass tulip end up broken. I could have looked for another to replace the old one, but it came to my mind the idea to make one with some staff I already had at home.

And this is the other one, still complete! The style of both is totally different now, so I put them in totally different corners of the house...

Another version

Same idea.... another version.... in a different place of the house.
And if you were wondering, YES! Also made with Christmas decorations!
Now you know, in late November, early December... go with time to the supermarket.
The lovely decoration in glass was handmade by my mother-in-law, Maria.

Light to my bathroom

The challenge was in the air (at least I felt it that way). The bathroom near my art studio was needing a light or some competent thing providing light to see better!
The solution could easily come from a shop, or be handmade/cheap/lovely/artistic/cheap (did I said it already?)....
The bathroom from the outside...

From the insight...

Thank to some changes being made at home, I had the artifact itself, but it wasn't particularly
nice. So I made some nice pending staff to hang, using some parts from Christmas decorations and glass pendants.

I felt happy with the result! An idea for to you to inspire and perhaps decorate some corner in your place.
