The mexican muralists' passion - part 2

If you fell eager to know and see more murals, let's continue...

Diego Rivera - Mexican life carnival:
Four movable panels. They were originally designed to decorate the Hotel reforma, were removed due to the political ideas they included.
When they looked into the panels closely, they noticed that the murals were embedded (as any other Diego's paint) with political ideas.

Let's look closer...
Detail. An armed indigenous
Detail - Did you see behind the main character?
Detail- yes, again!

David Alfaro Siqueiros- Torment of Cuauhtémoc and Apotheosis:
A diptych that represents the impact of the Mexico colonization. Siqueiros said on the opening day "Is a song to Cuauhtémoc and an image of the struggle this week civilizations had to support."
This is the first panel -Torment of Cuauhtémoc-, represents the tourture the conquerors applied to the last azteca (mexican) emperor:

And the second panel, coming from the painter imagination, shows us the emperor leading his people, brave against the enemy:

Diego Rivera - Russian Revolution:
Leon Trotsky lived few years Mexico. He formed in Mexico a circle of followers and developed a deep friendship with prominent nationals like Diego Rivera.

Jose Clemente Orozco - Katharsis:
A critique to the degradation of the society and class division, in the capitalism. It is a critique but also a warning. For us to think on redemption. His proposal is to destroy first to be reborned and renewed (this is what the fire means).
